Dr. Reid, a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist, oversees the ASPCA Anti-Cruelty Behavior Team's work in the field and at the Behavioral Rehabilitation Center in Madison, NJ. In the field, Dr. Reid and her staff deploy with the ASPCA's Field Investigations and Response and Cruelty Intervention Advocacy Teams, focusing on behavior evaluations, enrichment and behavior modification for animals seized in neglect, dogfighting, puppy mill and hoarding cases. At the Rehab Center, Dr. Reid's staff implements treatments designed to reduce fear and anxiety, with the goals of improving the well-being of neglected, under-socialized dogs and helping them become suitable for adoption. She has testified as an expert witness in cruelty and dangerous dog cases. Prior to joining the ASPCA, Pam was assistant professor with the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph.
